Heat Pump FAQ’s

Are there rebates and where can I find them?

Residential heat pump rebates are available from Efficiency Maine and NHSaves. I am a qualified installer. (This website has a lot of helpful information for you including information about heat pump efficiency and home energy loans.)

How long is a Mitsubishi Electric Heat Pump Warranted for?

Products that are registered within 90 days of installation typically receive a 10-year parts and compressor warranty but because I am a Diamond Contractor your product will be warranted for 12 years. Go here to register your warranty.

Installation is warranted for a period of one year.

Can I use a mini-split heat pump exclusively to heat my home?

Mitsubishi Electric systems use a minimal amount of energy to maintain your desired temperatures down to -13 degrees. H2i hyper-heating inverters are well suited for the New England climate.

Are heat pump inverters less costly to run than conventional air conditioning and heating systems?

Heat pumps are energy efficient. Conventional AC & heating units run at full power until it reaches a set temperature and then stops, only to turn on again – sometimes within an hour – as the temperature becomes uncomfortable. The INVERTER is always active, enabling it to automatically adjust conditioning when its temperature sensors detect even subtle changes. Rooms are cooled and heated faster and more efficiently. The INVERTER regulates energy consumption so that the system only uses the precise amount of energy needed to keep each room at the temperature you choose, and can reduce energy consumption up to 40 percent.

How long does it take to install?

Every situation is a little different. A single-zone unit can be installed often in a day. A multi-zone unit typically can take up to a week, depending on what it entails. Contact me for more information.
